Wes Shamp Logs 40 Years with MFG

From boats, to architectural composites, to wind blades, to sky climbers…..when Wesley Shamp joined the MFG Boat Company in Union City, PA in 1970, he could not have foretold that 40 years later he would be in the service of the same company he started with straight out of Union City High School. But the homeboy took hold of the opportunity and ran with it — 23 years in Union City, four years at MFG West in California, and most recently 13 years with MFG Texas. Which is almost long enough to be considered a real Texan!

Over the course of his tenure at MFG, Wes has mastered the various skills involved in the composite manufacturing business, to become one of the most well-rounded managers in the industry. He presently manages MFG Texas and Wind Energy Services Company, and also has a hand in MFG South Dakota where he logged thousands of hours the past two years bringing that entity online.

MFG is indebted to his loyalty, enthusiasm for expanding his abilities, and professional focus. We look forward to many more years of working together, Wes — Thank you!

“I hired Wes Shamp in 1970 — he was just out of high school,” states CEO Richard Morrison. “He had long hair — but was instantly a good worker. During the last 40 years, he has made many important contributions. Congratulations, Wes and a million thanks!”
