Engineering & Quality Manager - MFG Texas - Gainesville, TX
MFG Texas seeks a highly experienced Engineering & Quality Manager. This unique individual will manage, direct and support both the Engineering and Quality Teams in developing and implementing all engineering/quality processes in the manufacturing of fiber glass composites.
This position requires technical innovation as well as a high level of technical skill in the areas of research, design, analysis, development, and testing of engineering materials as related to fiber glass composites.
Requirements/Responsibilities: Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Engineering with emphasis on Composite Engineering, Drafting/AutoCAD, MiniTab, strong MS Office skills, working knowledge of GE reporting systems, ISO9000, LEAN/Six Sigma, technical knowledge AND experience with vacuum infusion molding with epoxy resins, hand lay up and spray lay up of epoxy & polyester resins, compression molding, gelcoat application and surface painting of composite parts. 5+ years of progressively responsible background in areas of product/material testing, inspection for quality assurance and SPC, CCT Certification desired (Certified Composites Technician). Initiate research and development of projects. Create the architecture of the technical solutions with a high degree of integration. Directs and coordinates all work by support personnel and outside groups involving design, development, prototype construction, and test and evaluation for materials in molding trials. Works closely with project groups to assure smooth transition to production via the form of clearly defined technical specifications.
Counsels and trains less senior engineers and technical support personnel in technical areas as required.
Maintains project records and prepares technical, cost, and other reports to show project progress as required. Contributes sound professional advice and creative ideas, concepts, and approaches to new product design, development projects and manufacturing. Keeps abreast of new technologies, finished and raw materials relative to the composites industry. Regularly consults senior management regarding material technologies and advises on strategy of deployment. Senior Staff Engineering Manager possesses a high level of technical and management skills necessary to complete projects, and possesses the ability to direct the activities of other support personnel to meet project/productions objectives.
Bi-lingual (Spanish) with ability to speak/write fluently and capable of documenting complex technical procedures in English/Spanish is HIGHLY DESIRED. Previous experience in blade manufacturing is HIGHLY DESIRED!
Must have 5+ years managing work teams, providing technical direction and coordination of activities for both the Engineering and Quality Control departments. (8+ of less senior engineers, technicians/interns and QC personnel) in a diverse environment. This position reports directly to VP/General Manager and/or Plant Manager. This is a senior level Engineer/Quality Control Manager position with a competitive salary/benefit package.

Production Teammate - Aberdeen, South Dakota
Molded Fiber Glass is seeking several Production Teammates at its wind turbine blade manufacturing plant in Aberdeen, SD.
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Produce a quality product according to standard work instructions and perform to labor standards as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
A summary of the essential functions of the position includes, but is not limited to, the following:
1. Possess an understanding of the requirements to produce a quality product.
2. Have a basic knowledge of the various tools (scissors, grinders, sanders, routers, buffers) and various measurement devices (tape measures, calipers, rulers).
3. Be able to record data from measurements into QA documentation.
4. Work in a team concept, assisting other teammates to achieve quality standards and labor standards as assigned.
5. Observe all Company policies regarding safety and OSHA regulations.
6. Assist with other duties or responsibilities as may be assigned.
7. Maintain a clean and organized workplace.
8. Be willing to work overtime, including weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School education or GED equivalent. *MFG- SD is now offering onsite classes to obtain your GED.
Experience: Experience in a production environment preferred, NCRC (National Career Readiness Certificate) Silver Level is now required.

Project Manager - Blade Service - Gainesville, TX
Job Description:
Project Manager is responsible for managing field service crews servicing wind turbine composite parts including blades, nacelles and spinners. Responsible for P&L of projects as well as safety, WI and environmental regulations.
Job Requirements:
Successful candidate will have 2-5 years in project management in related wind energy field services. Individual must be willing able to work at heights and able to perform hands-on work if required. College graduate with strong math/computer skills, communicate in English (verbal/written) and a valid drivers license and passport are required. ACMA CCT qualified, bi-lingual (Spanish) are also very valuable. Experience in training, environmental laws and safety are required. The project manager is responsible for collection of time sheets and all related documentation of the job and distribution to the proper departments. Position is in Gainesville, TX.

Composite Lead Repair Technician - various
Job Description:
Composite Lead Repair Technician will be responsible for leading a crew on the repair, finishing and inspection of wind turbine blades as well as other composite components in the field and at heights.
Job Requirements:
Individual must be willing and capable of working from a suspended platform at extreme heights. High school graduate with strong math/computer skills, able to effectively communicate in English (verbal/written), and a valid driver’s license are required. ACMA CCT qualified, college degree in composite repair, bi-lingual (Spanish) are also desirable. Some exceptions can be made for strong applicants. Candidates must be able to communicate work instructions and safety practices to the team and manage for compliance. The lead technician is responsible for time sheets and all related job documentation. Between field assignments, an effort will be made to assign Lead Technicians to repair work in a manufacturing facility to prevent loss of income. In some instances this may not be possible because of physical location so residence in the Gainesville TX, Aberdeen SD or Adelanto CA area is advantageous to this effort. 3+ years of experience in wind turbine blade repair is required.
