Tooling Technician - Aberdeen, South Dakota
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Perform mold repairs as required. Provide technical support and troubleshooting on Production tools and fixtures. Lead Teams as required to complete maintenance and surface repairs on Production tools. Assist Engineers and Production staff to implement new equipment and systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
A summary of the essential functions of the position includes, but is not limited to, the following:
1. Responsible for the efficient and effective troubleshooting, debugging and repair of fiberglass molds, tools, fixtures and manufacturing equipment.
2. Complete small and large projects as assigned.
3. Develop and maintain technical reference materials.
4. Lead and/or assist with new equipment installations.
5. Train others on equipment operation and troubleshooting.
6. Perform tool/mold/equipment preventive maintenance.
7. Assist maintenance in the development/improvement of preventive maintenance and spare parts system.
8. Work in a team environment and participate in Team projects.
9. Perform work with little or no supervision.
10. Lead small teams to complete mold maintenance as required.
11. All other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Requires sitting, standing, bending, lifting (up to 50lbs), walking, squatting, and reaching.
2. Requires mental concentration and attentiveness.
3. Good hand-eye coordination.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School diploma or GED required. 2 year technical degree preferred.
Experience/Skills: 2 years experience in related field preferred. Must be a self-starter and capable of learning new technologies quickly. Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, etc.) a must. Decision-making skills. good troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills required. Must have working knowledge of hand tools, power tools (grinders, sanders, drills, saws, welders) and test equipment (electrical meters, etc.). Experience with machine tools (Mill, Lathe, etc.) – a plus.

Tooling Project Leader/Blade Process Engineer - Aberdeen, South Dakota
This position will be responsible for the rollout of a new tooling program by maintaining the tooling project schedules and coordinating work between the entities (SD & TX) and suppliers, from tool build through qualification. Once project successfully completed, this person will then join the blade development team and will be assigned projects supporting current blade development/process implementation and new blade development. Candidates must possess a Tooling/Tooling Engineering background. Experience in composites and project management preferred.

Tool & Mold Supervisor - Aberdeen, South Dakota
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Tool & Mold Supervisor is responsible for directing and supervising the tooling technicians, developing and maintaining a preventive maintenance program and managing projects as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES
A summary of the essential functions of the position includes, but is not limited to, the following:
1. Provide technical support and troubleshooting on production tools and fixtures.
2. Responsible for the efficient and effective troubleshooting, debugging and repair of fiberglass molds, tools, fixtures and manufacturing equipment.
3. Lead teams as required to complete maintenance and surface repairs on production tools.
4. Assist Engineers and production staff to implement new equipment and systems.
5. Develop, implement & maintain preventive maintenance system for molds, tools & fixtures.
6. Ability to work on and manage small and large projects as assigned.
7. Coordinate & supervise cross-functional teams as required.
8. Work in a team environment and participate in team projects.
9. Enforce company policies and safety regulations.
10. Assist in the training of new teammates.
11. Develop and maintain technical reference materials.
12. Ensure tooling team maintains good housekeeping practices.
13. Maintain required records for process, materials usage and teammate time slips.
14. In the absence of Management or a production shift lead on site i.e. weekend projects/repairs; responsible for overall oversight of facility.
15. In the event of any major problems or emergencies, responsible for notifying appropriate Management personnel.
16. Assist with other duties or responsibilities as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Minimum Associates Degree in related field. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred (Composites Engineering desired). Certified Composites Technician a plus.
Experience/Skills: Minimum three years relevant experience in a production environment with supervisory experience preferred. Experience with Fiberglass composites & VRIM desired. Must be a self starter and capable of learning new technologies quickly. Strong written and verbal communication skills and basic computer skills (Excel, Word, etc.) a must. Must have working knowledge of hand tools, power tools (Grinders, sanders, drills, saws, welders) and test equipment (electrical meters, etc.). Experience with mold/tool maintenance and experience with AutoCAD, Solidworks, or equivalent desired.
